High density mesh seam marking

Hello!

I’m working on a converted CAD file and need to UV map it. Unfortunately the mesh needs to remain as is.

So, as you can see, selecting loops isn’t really an option (unless there is a technique I’m unaware of?). But that is my question - are there any tools that can help in edge selection with dense meshes like this? This is especially difficult in the tight areas in the bevels under the larger forms.

Aside from hiding polygons, I’m wondering what else can be done to help assist? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Look in the select menu for the selection options available such as:
Pick shortest path (Ctrl+mouse select)
Box select

Path selection: CTRL+Right Click

Hi. Ortho view (Numpad 5) will make zooming in easier for dense geometry like those bevels.
Ctrl Rightclick will select all similar elements along the shortest path from previous to latest selection. Try in Edge Select Mode.
Can select faces within an intended seam then do Select Boundary Loop if easier.

Probably other tips out there too. There you go, beaten.

Mr. Marklew - thank you!

helluvamesh - and thank you too!

LoboTommy - Excellent. All these tips work exactly how I need. Thanks a bunch!

Nice one bruv. Enjoy.
