Update to the materials, would invite some crits yet may be difficult to on unfinished work. The Character is inpsired, from the D&D gaming book cover art. Thats right d and d, yet want to go for a GD album cover look.

I like your first image (is a picture or is the model?) I think you need recovery the shadows and brightness of your first image because looks more artistic, the second I think the accesories of his hip could be better, looks pretty flat compared with the another parts, the metal of your blade looks cool on both compositions I like a lot !

you can shared your reference for give a more depth feedback?

Is a link to the cover art, thanks joseperez. Going to make some fixes, wrapping the arms and legs and doings some detail work, hopefully will still have a robust raytracing layer. (Not apposed to remeshing as needed so far), really as you said want the tracing to vaule the many parts and layers of meshs, so holding off on generating textures for now.

smokey, the last image looks much better! and thanks to the reference! mmm… I think you need give the same form to the cristal eyes accord to the concept for give him a anger looking, and the pose of his hands need more accord to the reference to, because they are a little open.

Ref eye’s are on him, Wanted some flesh effect under, but the eyes I always skimp, as if I could… refs on I’m going to strangie town.

Have you thought about making those colored pieces shiny or glowing? They look like precious stones unless i’m wrong. Otherwise looks cool! The tattered dressings remind me of Warhammer Tomb Kings.


Ya, just not sure how to achieve that quite yet. Going for a while to fix mistakes, hands (big long) , eye, (like a Jack of Diomonds) Sword (Mesh or wired Crystal). And a senous back round, blue, like the head jewl. Thanks for visiting. J
