High Realism Sky

Hey all,

I came over from Max 2014. We had the ability to make amazing sky backgrouns in rendering which included sunlight.

How would you do this in Blender? I have tried to mimick it, but having bad luck. This is from Max.

The ground was a simple polygon. The question is, how to do that sky with realistic sun light. That has been the hardest part in making quick concept renders.

There is a sky texture. it has 3 different principle choices, some of them are only available in 2.9+.

(to access the background nodes, set the targt of the shader editor to “World”)
