Hilda fan art based on concept by Erin Hunting: ( https://www.erinhunting.com/fanart#5 )
For Modelling the characters I used blender. I didn’t have to sculpt anything at all, instead I modelled the character’s in quads. For the grass I used Krita, an open source painting software. I didn’t use blender or substance painter to make the textures for the rocks both characters are standing on. I created those in Krita instead. I just found out about Krita that week so I was curious to find way it could help me with blender. I can say I’m happy with the result since it looks very similar to Erin’s original concept.
All the Compositing was done within Blender.
The grass was imported with the addon “import images as planes” which comes with blender. I changed the settings so the grass appears to have an emission shader.
