We’re looking for a 3D Grooming Artist to add high-quality hair to a rigged humanoid character using Blender’s new hair system (not the legacy one). The character will be used in animation, so the groom needs to be stable, clean, and behave well during movement.
Responsibilities:
- Create realistic or stylized hair/fur using Blender’s updated hair tools
- Apply the groom to an already rigged humanoid character
- Make sure the hair holds up properly in animation
- Work with our team to match the overall style and direction
- Share examples of previous work on groomed, rigged, and animated characters
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Blender’s current grooming system
- Background in grooming characters for animation
- Good understanding of how hair should react on rigged meshes
- Portfolio showcasing similar grooming work
Nice to Have:
- Experience with stylized fur
- Knowledge of optimizing hair for animation pipelines or real-time engines
