hey everyone,
can a few people out ther post a good hobbit head for a game?
textured would be nice, becuase I cant texture heads very well.
I’m trying to make a good game, so please try to make it you’r best.
if anyone could help me with this I would appreciate it.
help me please!!
here is a picture to show you the style of the character that I want and need badly!
as i told ur brother (as i now know that blender164 or whatever his name is because of you post in his daxter thread :)) , its really difficult to make a (especially good quality) thingo for someone else, as its not their work, kind of like borrowing a videogame off someone else know what i mean? like, its not yours so you get bored and never get around to finishing it lol
Looks like you’re off to a good start there, though the legs look a little too large for a hobbit?
About the head, search around for a low-poly head tutorial. They should be pretty simple to modify for a hobbit
yeah I tryed that,
it’s the textureing part that I have trouble with.
if you can I would like some help with this.
can you help?
Sorry, I’m halfway through my own game at the moment (4X4 Game). I’m also rubbish at humans (or human -esque characters).
I’d reccomend trying to get this done yourself, even if you have to do 100 textures to get it right. You’ll get a huge confidence boost when you do
Yes!!! Hobbits!!! I love Hobbits!!!
O.T.-> How many polys is your current model?
here is my model for now.

its going realy slow finishing it becuase I can’t make a good head.
anyways, here it is!

Nice! You should give the hobbit a staff instead of a sword? As they’re not really violent…
Just my 2 pence, I’m probably wrong
nice textures. But whoa(!), hobbits are on average 3 feet tall, u should make the legs, more or less, about half the size of the torso.
Love the textures:p
and yes, unless that is one of the ‘main’ hobbits, it would not have a sword, but a pitchfork, club, ->knife<-, but definitely not an elven sword by the looks of it?
But he’s a Baggins, can’t you see!
heh, the headless Baggins who haunts the shire
I’m just curious as to why you and your brother can’t work on a game. I wish I had a brother that knew how to use blender. If that were the case, I would be working through concepts on a game. It would be so much easier to make the game, especially because you know the person and you see him every day. Carrying on a project over the internet is so unbelievably grueling.
-nick
cool idea!
mybe I’ll turn him into ghost.
and mabe he could be nearly headless nick. Lol.![]()
Hahaha, suckers. I share this account with my twin, so we do most of this stuff together. This looks good but needs to be smaller. Sorry i can’t make you a head… I just can’t… You guys are gunna make in fun of me… poooooop…
Nice try sammaron,
but you’r no match for a hobbit. Lol.
thanks for trying to make a head though.
I’m still having trouble with it.
I as a fan-adict of Tolkien, I will submit my own two pence…
- The feet on your hobbit are well… a bit squash like to say the least.
- As Farthioner stated the legs are well far too lengthy. Shorten them up a bit and things should start to look right.
- Also I suggest you make your hobbit a bit more rounded…as many meals as a hobbit consumes, most just aren’t thin; unless your hobbit is bulimic or something.
Good luck and… Namárië!
