Finished my Hobo City graphic novel cover art using Blender for the character, and Photoshop to photobash the background and finish the cover design. Hobo City is a graphic novel series in progress with the first issue digitally released recently on www.coylecavern.com

Hi. I’m glad to see that you still work on your novel.
If we split image in half with a horizontal line, background on the top half describes a landscape. Thinking about what the lower half’s background could be. Shapes floating on a fluid or a black sea?

I do like paintery expression of his hair.

Thanks! Good to hear from you. Yep its a landscape, a sea of garbage. but not liquid where he’s standing. He’s in the immediate foreground, and the landscape is garbage dump going all the way back to mountainous cliffs on the horizon. I chose to depict the garbage using a photobashing technique rather than use blender for that part.
