Hobo nickel coin ring

This ring is a commision work from some months ago. The base structure was done in 3Design CAD, but then all the elements were sculpted and rendered in Blender 3.2
The shaders have some black patina effects here and there.

My clients ask all kinds of custom jewelry, and I really enjoy making renders and animations of the designs I like the most, and my clients love my renders for their marketing.

All aspects of this ring are crafted for 3D printing to be manufactured in 2 different gold colors.

The design comes from a classical hobo** nickel coin, and the other elements were customized for the client. Everything is modeled from scratch.

Taken from the Internet: Named after the people who popularized the craft (me adding: of modifying coins by carving them by hand), hobo nickels were made by wandering “hobos” (people who often traveled by hopping freight trains) in the U.S. during the early 20th century.
