(One comment though. The fish in the daytime version seems to me to float in the air, above the water. I think it’s too colorful compared to the rest of the underwater scene. Not in the night version. It’s okay there.)
Thanks, Revaz. I want to know about the lighting setup & background. the beach water looks so natural. how you achieved such a realistic result? it is very hard to achieve results like that, particularly for water.
I agree with you and I only started noticing this after I finished the project. The hardest thing for me is to make the underwater world like in real life, but everything looks like just air, even the volume shader didn’t help. I think I need to go deeper into this topic.

In terms of lighting is HDRI + Sun + volume in the atmosphere, it is a must for a realistic picture otherwise everything will be flat.
Water, if you mean just water, the main thing here is the texture of the relief and volume shader, otherwise it’s just glass with a slightly modified IOR. Water with foam on the shore is a photoshop.
