Wow, it’s amazing what you’ve thought of with that sky city idea of mine! That’s amazing in what you’ve done to it! Great work on the blimp too. It looks like the one in The Golden Compass.

looking very nice but i have a few crits-

  1. the rocks on the bottom look odd. maybe its that thier low poly?
  2. the grass cuts off abrubtly.
besides that its lookin’ really good. keep it up!

is this better?

Looks pretty good and I love the idea behind it. My only crit would be that he grass on the left hand corner of the left “island” is a bit to washed out. Just my .02.

It has a nice overall feel to it i think. The subtle planet in the background looks nice.
Is there a reason why the bridge doesn’t join in the middle though?
Its a WIP, so your going to add something on the 2nd island? Some detail like ‘rope handles’ going across the bridge?

to make the rock overall a bit more…rocky, add the musgrave procedural with about half a slider of normal

other than that, looking darn nice

been a long time since i have been posting here, but i felt like working on it, so here it is.

To make the grass look a bit more natural, I would apply the particles to the whole rocky surface, and then use some blending textures (uv mapped would probably make it easiest) as a modifier to where the grass goes. That way, you get some fall-off to the sides of the rocks so it doesn’t look the grass just cuts off suddenly. Awesome concept. My only other nitpick is that the quality of the background does not match the quality of the objects of interest. The fact that you’ve committed to this makes it better than most anything I’ve done though. Keep it up.

Very nice idea and good realization. Now the rocks have a more high poly count but they lack in roughness, you could try with a displacement map and/or normal map to give those a more irregular aspect.

I love the way it looks like a watercolour!
