They failed to chase me. Cops’ reputation, eh? They really need to incorporate an IQ test into recruiting process.
Also, I’ve noticed a few bugs:
- Bullets are not fast enough, so you can pass them at top speed
- Car is easy to turn upside-down
- Car should not be able to climb walls at low speeds (fixed number 2 as well)
How did you fix no2? Did you just make it dynamic? or did you remove the rot-Fh option?
I decided that top speed is to fast, slowed it down a bit, to make it more steerable/playable. (also means you can’t drive through walls as much)
Sped up bullets to 150 (from 100)
Don’t know how to do no3
My cops chase me…
Cops now shoot at you, you get damage, they get damage and they blow up!
If you don’t have guns you can just outrun them or stay just out of range and they’ll hit each other…

Sorry, it was a typo. I wanted to say 3 would probably be fixed if 2 would be fixed. But I guess I was wrong.
Hm, maybe try to increase gravity or something? With a bit of physics, lots of things should become more realistic.

Oh well, Still would be nice to know how to fix it. I tried increasing the gravity and rotational damping, which works well in most cases. Stops the car flipping and doing huge jumps (which was annoying) as well as making the car not able to go up walls without a run-up.
Also made the mission 1 map a bit more, now has the highway section and the start of a city section.
made a bigger range of tunnel types: ‘Y’ splits and ‘Y’ merges. vertical splits (ramp on half the tunnel) and some more.

If you still need an idea… It might be cool to make a no gravity game. So that you can ride up against the sealing just as easy as on the ground. Later in more advanced levels you can do some cool shit with that.
I made a zero-gee version of this game a few years ago, and it plays like descent. Too many controls for your average person as you have to add your full house controls
(roll in each direction XYZ and accelerate in each direction XYZ, two controls fro each axis = 12 keys for steering…)
Just made a pick up to activate your guns, so you have to excersize your running away from the cops too.
Still trying to solve some collision problems and some handling problems (like spinning after doing loops)

Your buddy now has logic, follows you unless he is being shot at, when he will swerve away for a few seconds. Still haven’t made him shoot at the cops for you though…
Traffic is basic, blocks that move, eventually they will look like cars, but for now they are cubes that move in one direction only.

Yup, but they fill the purpose, get in the way if you try to drive the wrong way…
If you’re good enough you can drive against the flow and let the cop get hammered by teh traffic as he tries to follow you.
Anyone want to make placeable objects? things like buildings, statues, or any object you can think of to place in a 2030 style city.
Now I need to start on the actual city, as I have the driving and moving props (well some of them, the ones that need logic) sorted.
