I downloaded over a T1 at work. It is 144M, which is a lot, but it is very cool. It reminded me very much of the look of Akira and begins to give an interesting background of the Matrix history. I would say that downloading this (or buying the complete Animatrix DVD when it comes out) is a must for any Matrix fans out there.
For any little people out there, keep in mind that this short does contain violence and nudity. I’m saying this as a warnig, but I know that it means that probably even more kids will download it. At least you can’t say I didn’t try.

How did it remind you of Akira??? I hear the director of Blade is doing a live action movie of Akira and he’s gonna make it ‘accessable’ to the western audience…there goes Akira’s rep…
DL’ed a week ago, its nice, though i thought it was a bit ‘how you goin?’. It seemed more like an intro to a movie than an episode, although i think it is just an ‘intro’ to the series. I was kinda hoping for all that ‘ninja scroll’ goodness 
It reminded me of Akira in the look and feel of the animation, not anything to do with the story itself.
Has anyone seen that Anime movie from last year about the girl at the amusement park who meets all those weird characters (the name escapes me)? I’m not sure that it looks like something I would enjoy (I tend to like to action aspects of Anime as opposed to the weird religious journey type of stuff), but I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews.
Are you talking about Metropolis? (a little girl - an android - almost in every aspect human…bla bla bla). Havent seen it myself, but i hear its good. Deals with machines feeling like humans and what not.
I looked it up. “Spirited Away” was the movie I was thinking of.

Seriously, “Spirited Away” is nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. I’m still angry they didn’t nominate “Waking Life” last year, though.
I’ve had to listen to my brother talk endlessly about “The Animatrix.” What shit. (Yeah, uncensored swearing from a guy who normally censors himself.) “Blahblahblah is going to be with ‘Dreamcatcher!’ BlahBlahBlah is going to have one of the actors from the movie! BlahBlahBlah…” Ugh! What pointless shit!
