How Can I Align The Two Objects Vertically?

How can I align the horizontal bars numbered 1 and 2 according to the window fence (Outlines)?

So they should go in the direction of the green arrows.

I tried;

  1. Grouped the outlines (fences) with CTRL + J

  2. Selecting the two horizontal bars and joining them with CTRL + J.

  3. Then select upper horizontal bar (outline, fence) as active object.

I assume you’re trying to make a window frame here. There are a couple of different ways to do this, which would be much quicker and more accurate.

  1. Wireframe modifier on a plane with a couple of edges.
  2. Array modifier on one horizontal bar and on one vertical bar.
