I’ve been following this blender guru video where at 2:08 he shows a way to make clapboard house siding using the base house model as a boolean and scaling it up on its normal. I follow the steps exactly but every time I do this, it leaves an empty void near the point of the rooftop (see attached pic or vid for reference). judging by the comments on the video, a lot of people have this problem so I was wondering if anyone here has a solution (or at least a better way to make clapboard siding)
Raise the object you’re cutting a little.
In the video, use Boolean modifiers and use Alt+S to expand the area.
Look closely at the key information shown below
※ You have to watch the video carefully for this person’s lecture. There is a part that goes on without explanation.
So I should move the base house object up the Z axis a little? or is it the clapboards I should move?
Well, that was a mistake…

Check the manual for Shrink Fatten (Alt+S).

If you made it the same as the video, this part is the problem, but if not, you won’t know.
