How can I make shadow caustics go through multiple layers of texture?

I’m so excited about the shadow caustics in 3.2, but is there any way yet to combine them?
When i put this “liquid” in the bottle, it’s like the light can’t break through both of them.

Is there any way I can make them mix? Or do I need to composite it somehow?

I could make it work somewhat in a shallow glass. But for some reason the bottle seems too dense.

I think i found an alright compromise for my purpose. If I just disable Transmission and Shadow in Ray Visibility on the flask, it seems to get the results I want.
