I made a small table, which is made up of 3 objects. I added an empty axis to the scene and I would like to parent all the objects to it. That part is easy (I just use a constraint), but how can I then move the empty to the center of the 3 objects?
You can simply select all objects, other than the empty, and hit Shift-S to snap cursor to selected, then select the empty and Shift-S and snap selected to cursor.
I’d say snap cursor to selected depending on which is in the right place to begin with
Yes I should have, and started to explain it that way, but changed my mind. So, yes, snap it to where ever you want your center. Placing in edit mode can give greater control as well , as you can snap to specific elements.
