How do I smoothly bend a cylinder mesh to fit a certain contour?
you need to subdivide it along axis of bend
What about a nubis curve or path?
you cannot bend an edge it has to be subdivided !

Two crazy possibilities:
The Lattice object, as a parent.
The “cylinder” is actually a Bezier Curve, with a profile that makes it look like a cylinder.
