I am wondering how I would center my scale pivot onto the highlighted block, so It would scale uniformly. Is there a way to move the pivot like in maya? Thanks.

Maybe RMB → Set Origin → Origin to Geometry?

It looks like you have your pivot point set to the 3d cursor like this:
Change it to median point so it will pivot on itself.

In case you aren’t aware of this add-on… I find it for more efficient, than having to deal with that 3D cursor.
I’m not sure if here is the right place for this. I want to share with all of you my first release of a basic add-on for Blender which I’ve been work on.
It’s a tool to set origin to bounding box corners and centers for a selected object in a easy and quick way.
