How do I display the "Light" tab in my navigation bar?

I’m following a tutorial and it is using the lights tab in the navigation bar.
How do I get this to show. I can’t get it to appear.

Tutorials tend to move quickly and skip steps that are muscle memory to someone experienced but not to someone new, so don’t be too hard on yourself
