How do I display the stroke index of Blender's Grease Pencil?

I would like to use Blender’s Grease Pencil for creating interpolated animations, but I struggle to accurately find the stroke order from the previous frame. How can I address it effectively?

I mean I want maybe a way to show the index number of each stroke on frame, because sometime I am really confused which line is which,

Hm… I’ve noticed that if after each of the drawing you’ll tap on a ‘plus’ icon (see screenshot below), you’ll be able to edit/delete/hide each of the strokes separately:

Correct me if I am wrong

This button is for creating a new GP layer, but I think it can be a solution. Thank you for your reply.

You’re welcome!
