I
I am modelling a shield that I will texture in Substance Painter.
I have noticed that after i turned Face Orientation, there are many red faces.
I assume this is affecting my model negatively as the entire middle of my model is invisible in Substance Painter.
Shield15.blend (658.7 KB)
Switch to Edit-Mode, select the faces and then:
Mesh > Normals > Flip
Edit Mode > A (select all) > Alt-N > Recalculate Outside usually helps.

Didn’t looked into the file but as far as i can see you simply split the geomtery ??
And so their “inner part” is visible and of course the normals are pointing “in other direction” because it’s the backside of the faces ?
So.. there is nothing to fix here.. and i think you did this only to asign different materials ?

Looks fine to me. Only the inner parts are red. Those parts are not visible.
EDIT:
I don’t use Substance Painter but you can turn off backface culling in the shader somehow, if you want to see the back faces.
