How do I import another object with its original shader nodes?

I followed a tutorial where I made a pretzel. this is the tutorial

Now I just want to import the pretzel into another blender file. however when I do, I notice the shader for the pretzel doesn’t come through to the new blender scene.

How do I import the pretzel so that the shaders are still there in the new scene?

Usually appending or linking (not importing) from another blend file you choose the object and with this also automatically the material. Do not append/link the mesh only.

You may have to elaborate this to get a more suited answer.
