How do I mirror parent-child meshes?

So ive got two airplane landing gear devices with some hydraulics that have to be rotated into positions with child meshes that have their own rotation axis…

but mirror modifier demands I change the center of gravity dot to a completely different location.

is there a way to construct a series of linked rotating parent-child objects,

then mirror these transformations while retaining their own origins?

Hey there ,
Can you elaborate a bit?

Possible solution

You can just Shift+D them and give the other object the negative values of the original object? It works like the mirror modifier.
(if i am wrong, tell me as i didn’t understand the problem well)

You can set your 3d cursor to the center, and then instance duplicate with Alt+D, and give it a negative scale along the axis. Or you can use the mirror modifier and select a mirror object.
