How do I rotate an object a few times, in mid-animation?

I need to have a power drill turned on for a few rotations, then turn off, during an animation.

“Cyclic Extrapolation” is perfect, but how would I make the “cycle” start at a specific frame and stop at a specific frame?

is it really so difficult to edit the rotation ipo [along one axis] to go from 0 to 3600000 over a number of frames?

Yes, it is that difficult to edit the rotation ipo [along one axis] to go from 0 to 3600000 over a number of frames. But I’ll give it a try.

Instead of cyclic, try setting the extend mode to extrapolation. Add keyframes to both sides of the ipo and set the y value to zero so that they don’t rotate until the desired keyframe range is reached. Also, change the node type to peak by pressing the v key so that the IPO curve looks like a single right triangular peak.

Here’s all I did…
