Usually the work around is to use an Unicode table, or the ASCII table, but this isn’t in that category, as it is a weather symbol. (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:Unicode/Miscellaneous_Symbols) Download, print as a reference, then find your character and use the corresponding keycode to input the character you want. As a trial, I Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V your character here, ☈︎ so, it is a limitation in the incoding into a Blender text field?? I am not sure, perhaps someone else can answer but the Unicode for this Thunderstorm character is U+2608 (9736) according to the chart that I referenced, so investigate getting Unicode characters into your file.
Maybe it’s the Bfont font? Usually you have some kind of placeholder symbol if you wanna display an unicode char which is not implemented in the used font - but maybe blender doesn’t do that. I actually never tried.
Anyway, my suggestion is to try a font where you are sure it has this flash implemented (maybe verify in a text editor first).
You must find a font that handles this character properly.
It’s a pain in the arse in blender. A lot of lennyfaces are using different fonts, so you can’t really use them.
Try this, (https://www.alt-codes.net/weather-symbols.php) where you can find the Unicode U+2608
☈ as “ampersand poundsign 9736;” without the spaces but include the ; See if that helps.
