How does Andrew Price achieve this look?

I’m new to blender and I’ve been watching some of Andrew Price’s tutorials from the BlenderGuru site and they are awesome! Something I can’t figure out is how he gets the kind of “powder white” look on his rough models. An example (right from his site – hopefully he doesn’t mind) is below. I’m assuming it has to do with both materials and lighting but I was hoping someone could help me. So, how do I achieve the same “look” as below for my own model? I’m so new that I’m not even sure I’ve phrased the question quite right. Let me know if I need to elaborate on anything.

just render ambient occlusion. No lights

Thanks! Worked like a champ!
