How to apply array on collection?

Hi there, I have a scene with multiple meshes. I’d like to keep them separated but treat them as a whole and apply some modifiers to them. I thought I could move them into a collection hoping maybe I can apply the modifiers to the entire collection? What would be the best way to approach this? Thanks

I believe I’ve read something about some new features regarding collections which would allow a similar approach, meaning, being able to affect the whole collection. But I can’t remember exactly what was that about.
