@Son_of_Numenor, That definitely is viable and I think might have been mentioned already although the steps got me to try it. The problem I had at that point was placing the posts and I guess in the future the gems. But considering that this is not a WIP thread I guess I may leave this thread alone and try to start a WIP thread if I’m still motivated, because most of the reason I asked is because all of the attempts I made previous to posting were inefficient and I couldn’t finish. Not a vital project by any means.
The lack of good reference was mentioned before and I guess it’s probably obvious. I had found a ring that was attractive and thought I would try it, but just jumped right in. The shape is complicated and from what it looks like, just looking around at some rings, somewhat rare. I think I should probably spend some more time doing simpler rings.
