How to bake a displacement map from a sculpt?

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I would like to take a mesh that I am working on and sculpt some details on it. Then I would like to bake out the sculpt into displacement maps and reapply them to the original mesh.

Would anyone be able to help me on how to do this or if there are any tutorial series on this subject?

Hi there. Thank you very much for the videos. The first one is very useful information, however it was not what I was looking for.

The second one was much closer. However, it is different. Instead of normal maps, I was looking for displacement maps.

I come from Cinema 4D and, with that software, you could bring in a low res mesh and increase its subdivisions for sculpting, and then when you were done sculpting, you could bake the hi-res sculpt onto the low res mesh as displacement maps. Just wondering if that was an option here.
