How to connect one rig to another rig, to be parented but also independent

I am rigging the horse for racing. Used the Auto_rig pro to rig the horse, and it did pretty good job. However, now I want to rig saddle independently, but still parented to horse, since racer will be on horse. I want those gray bones on saddle, which I added manually to parent to auto rig. Now it doesn’t have any weights assigned so it is not deforming anything but it is part of same rig.

Assuming the saddle has a root bone, constrain that one to the one of the horse rig’s spine bones that is most suitable, via ChildOf constraint. Alternatively, you could use an Armature constraint to bind the root bone to a weighted selection of bones in the horse rig (may work better).

Hi, just to remind you that the straps for a racing saddle need to be shorter then what you have. Look for references images.
