How to convert Cloth Simulation to Keyframe, so it can be editted in dope sheet ?

This is just a guess: can the simulation be baked and then edited? I don’t know how baking works, so this may be way off.

its kinda convoluted, but i have in the past used a workflow where i export the baked cloth sim to an .md2 vertex animation, and the re-import it to create a keyframed shape-key animation. you can then do nifty stuff like re-time the simulation, etc.
