Hi, I have 4 characters posed in my blender file. Now my client asked me to rig these caracters in diferent outfits and use the same poses for the render. I’d like to know if blender has any command to copy the pose of an armature to another.
In this pipeline I’m rigging the characters in maya and bringing them to blender for rendering.
Do the bones have the same names and rotation modes? Go to frame 1. Keyframe all bones in source and destination armatures (doesn’t matter in what pose for the destination armatures.) Go to graph editor for source armature, select all, ctrl c copy. Go to graph editor for destination armature, select all bones, ctrl v paste.
The bones have the same names. I don’t know if the have they same orientation orders because sometimes I change from quartenion to xyz. I’ll try this tomorrow after I have the skinning of the outfits and once I try I’ll return to post the results
