How To Create Seamless Motion Animations and Merge Different Character Motions With Non Linear Anim

I am relatively new to blender and have been using it only for the last month or so. One thing I am particularly struggling is on how to manipulate motion strips in the non-linear editor. What I am trying to do is to create motion strips and then duplicate and place them in a manner that results in seamless motion, maybe even with multiple keyframmed motions. But the problem I am facing is that while the first motion strip works, the others dont. Can anyone suggest a step-by-step tutorial or YouTube Video?

Its likely the extrapolation method of the first strip. If its set to Hold it wont play anything else under it, so it should be on Nothing. But if you want a video:

Perhaps this video will help in illustrating my problem- how to prevent the position reset:

The issue is likely that the root bone is keyed for both animations, so the position is going to reset. Changing the Blending mode can help with this.

If not that I suggest removing the keying from the root bone of each animation. From there you can animate the characters placement independently of the NLAs by making a new action and keying the root bone directly. You could also go into each NLA strip and edit the root bone’s animation per strip. Whichever is less complicated.
