How to make a material like this youtube video shows?

Hi all,

I am trying to make an ‘old film effect’ for an animation I’ve made. I have some vignette that varies, and a vertical line that moves around, like so -

The 5 dark objects are supposed to be dust on the old film. This is what I need help with. Watching this video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLgzuU1dJ5M
at 14:40 in that video, he adjusts a material so it only renders the outline of the material.

That’s an old video and the material is for the BI render that was removed a long time ago…

So how do I make an eevee material that will look the same?

I still need to work on the dust particles, but at least it’s rendering correctly.
