How to make a volumetric spot lamp in Blender Render?

Hi! It’s difficult to search a tutorial on Blender Render on YouTube/Google because most of the people use Cycles Render, so I couldn’t find how to do volumetric spot lamp in Blender Render.

I use Blender Render the most of the time because it’s not that bad and faster than Cycles, there is an Ambient Occlusion in Blender Render.

See https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/render/blender_render/lighting/lamps/spot/halo.html

Thank you, it works.
Cycles is more realistic, but it’s slow.

The spot lamp’s volumetric is too short in Blender Render, I don’t know how to change the length. How to do it?

Lamp > Distance

… all described in the Blender 2.79 manual under Blender Render > Lighting
