How about something like this:


you could change the colors with a color ramp node with the range of colors you wanted, and the Voronoi color going into the factor.
The line width isn’t constant, but I don’t think it’s possible to fix that.

It would be great to get rid of all the inclaves and exclaves.

Do you mean the line thickness?

yeah, its a bit of a balancing act to try and get it to look exactly right, but i’m not really sure how to improve that.

I’ve been trying to figure out a way of doing this as well, and would love to see a solution. My struggle, as well, is to have nice clean ‘borders’ around the political boundaries.
