Hello I’m quite new in Blender
I’m currently modelling a simple sword, as seen here

I’m halfway done with the hilt, but the trouble is the hilt handle
I’m planning to make a round hilt ( or maybe polygon with almost circle-like shape )
How can I accomplish that curves ?
you’ve got some 5 vert faces in the guard so convert that into a 4 vert shape leaving an empty square in the center, then extrude the 2 corners to create a new trapazoid shape towards the center leaving a gap with the mirrors, in those gaps extrude the vert twice to make diamonds, this will provide you with a few extra verts in order to make a cylindrical hilt. unfortunately it makes some star junctions but that might be ok for you. also to align them easier at the end select the final edge loop (alt select click) and use the relax tool under edge Loop tools (its an add on you may have to enable from the settings). Hope that helps.
Edit: To get rid of the star junctions which are at the corners of the mesh extrude inward one time then do the diamonds and such that are in the picture, the only reason the star junctions exist in the picture are that there’s an edge along the Y axis that we can’t see in this view. I dont remember what kind of problem this might cause but to rid of it is pretty simple solution that im not sure why i didnt do before other than I looked at how it subdivided and thought it was ok.
