how to make my textures more detailed?

yes i recently started texuring this character i made, however the textures are…well flat! yeah no other way to describe them. how an i make them pop out more and look more realistic. here a pic

notice how unlife like the clothing is, and how its basicly like the skin but a diffrent color, how can i remedy this? please n thanks…

You posted an example to look at in another thread. All the lighting is in the textures. Look at where the clothing gets darker/lighter. If you check the wireframes you’ll find the folds and wrinkles are just painted on.

Start with the shading, then try to copy some of the folds. For the look you are after, exaggerate. Realism is not what you want for this.
