I was trying to make some hyperrealistic cave water simmilar to the photo below. I was’t quite sure how to do this as I saw another member on blenderartists use the node setup show below aswell, as this confused me if i could use PBR materials and maps instead? If anybody could show some screeshots that would be helpfull.
retouched … otherwise put an area lamp (cycles) or plane/geo emitter (other engines) into the water with some emerald like volume scatter & absorption.

a little helper (rough surface of water is because it’s a river flow under long exposure, why it looks that way) and here’s how to tackle it’s foggy interior
