I would like to learn how to create shell-textured fur in Blender, where one simulates the look of fur by placing transparent points on top of each other in descending size by plain. It sounds weird when I explain it, so I’ll give visual aid.

I wanted to learn this technique to try an alternate way to render grass, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to replicate the technique. I tried looking for tutorials on youtube, but all there was were premade files with the shells already made, and I wanted to learn how to make one from scratch.
I’m no good with geometry nodes, and my ability to reverse engineer other people’s work is just as pathetic. If there is a relatively simple way to do this, I’d like to know about it. Thanks!
