How to make wave texture follow object edge

hey there! I’m kinda new to 3D designing,
I was trying to make a jersey today, but I can’t figure out how to make the wave texture (stripes) follow the sides of an object.

like the red and yellow parts of the cloth shown in the image attached.(they don’t go on a single axis but bend around the corners of the edges) any help would be greatly appreciated :))

(I assume you have/want also a normal map for the wavy look of the fabric ?)
One possibility is to make the UV map at the border straight… then fabric texture could be a tilable…
Onother is to make this in a second UV map and rebake to first channel…
