Hey there cloth enthusiasts, it’s been almost 2 years since I published the original A Tailor’s Approach To Cloth Sewing tutorials, where we created a nice shirt using Blender’s awesome cloth simulation. It has been a hit, and it has helped a lot of people learning how to tap into the great potential of Blender’s built-in cloth simulation to make great piece of clothing.
This time, I came back with another practical clothing that everyone uses as daily wear, a pair of shorts! Here it goes!
- It starts with the waistband:
- A bit of introduction and a plan as to what we’re going to do:
- Then you know the drill, Measurements:
- Drafting:
- Cutting & Basic Assembly:
- Shield & Zipper Assembly:
- Belt Loops & Final Assembly:
Or you can see the whole playlist here.
Okay that’s it! If you have watched the original ATATCS, then you’d be relieved to know that it’s not nearly as long as the original. It’s actually a stream I did on my Discord, so it’s shorter, a bit more casual, less of a course and more of a chat. I guess I like this format better than the original.
And I hope you like it as well as I do.
That’s it for now. Let me know what you think!
Best,
Vincentius
