How to manipulate different armatures at the same time in Pose mode


I have different characters in my scene that all have their respective armatures and they’re all animated and I need to be able to manipulate their overall timing, like stretch all the characters’ animation in dope sheet. What I sadly have observed is that Blender only allows one armature to be manipulated in pose mode. Is this an absolute limitation or do I have other options? Any help would be wildly appreciated…

Pose mode is like Edit mode or Weight Paint mode, it is only available for the currently selected object. You can have multiple armatures in pose mode at the same time, but you can only actually pose one of them at a time.
