i am trying to model a screw! i am stuck with the spiral around it? how can i do it?

In this tute you can find a short explanation of the screw function. Just play around with tilted lines and you should get something pretty good.
There are some good tutes here http://members.yourlink.net/gruff/. I thought there was a bolt tutorial, but it covers modeling the head (in this case a hex head bolt), and not the shaft.
