How to move animated instanced object?

Hi,
If I’m not wrong it was possible in 3dsmax to instance Copy an animated object and easily move it (and the animation) afterwards. So it means if the first object animation was from top to bottom, the instance also moved from top to bottom at the same place. But I was able to easily move the instanced object to the right and the animation of the second object was still the same from top to bottom but with the offset to the right.
If i try that in blender, the instanced object always jumps back to the initial keypoints, means at the same place as the other object.
So, although this behavior seems quite right, I wonder how this worked in 3dsmax…and if this in anyway possible to to in blender.

Thanks for help!
Tomes

oh ok…, it seems i have to “apply location” afterwards and make a “new object data user”.

is it the right / only way to go,or it there something faster ?

Animate Delta Transform properties instead of basic Transform. Unfortunately, can’t say how this works in 3ds Max.

Add > Collection Instance.
It comes in parented to an empty. Rotate the empty & the object goes off in the new direction.
Move the Empty and the animation moves to the new offset.

…“apply animated transforms to deltas” is working. then you can move one object easily over…

…can i move delta with mouse and hotkey?

No, there is no hotkeys for changing deltas. You can only apply normal transforms to deltas, as you described.
