How to rig Humanoid Android

Hi,
I’m new in Blender and I’m trying to rig a character.
I have a question:
What is the best number of bones to use for the model spine I am using? And where should I place them?

For what you’re showing, I would consider 3 bones: pelvic, abdominal, and thoracic. Because you have three hard looking bits that need to deform separately from each other.

From what you’re already showing (root of spine at base of pelvis), these bones’ origins should be placed near the middle of the bottom for each “hard” section.
