Okay, I’ve rendered a short animation as a test, but I can’t figure out how to save it. All I can find is the ‘Save Image’ option under the File menu that one would normally use to save a still image.
What am I missing?

in the [scene] buttons in the [format] panel there should be a popup menu that will probably be set to JPG or another image type. click on that, and change the file type to an AVI format, wether raw, Jpeg, of compress using a codec.
when you [animate], the animation will be saved to your [/tmp] directory (usually)
