How to setup Flamenco Manager

Hello, everyone. I have two computers and I would like to use both of them to create my own personal render farm. That’s why I decided to use Flamenco. The problem is the fact that I can’t connect the worker computers to the manager to render a frame. I am pretty sure this requires shared storage, but I can’t map any network drive.

I personally use CGRU/Afanasy, which is a renderfarm manager too. I first ask, what OS are you using? I use Ubuntu 20.04 and use NFS which is mapped to my /mnt directory. I had a previous install of CGRU which used Samba but NFS is so much easier to setup.

You don’t know how, or you can’t? It’s fairly simple on Windows or Mac, what is going wrong with your process here?

I use Windows.

I really don’t know. I tried watching some Youtube videos on how to do it, but Windows says “Windows requires a share to publish to. Please try another location.”. Am I missing something here?

There’s some tips for this error in this thread:

Never mind I decided to read the thread one more time and it solved my problem. Thanks, @joseph. :+1:
