How to smoothen height map?

Hello, I was wondering if there was any way to smoothen a Height map?
This is my first attempt at using a height map and I made this thing.

But the height map parts look sharp and jagged. Is there a way to smoothen a height map, or can you only smoothen the mesh?

If you’re talking about the thin lines, that’s just banding -using a 16bit image will help as it’s composed of many more grey levels than an 8bit image. If you’re talking about the bigger volumes, that seems to be the resolution of your mesh, so you should subdivide it.
