I’ve seen a lot of people who were complaining about the way GIMP handles Wacom tablets. Specifically, the tablets lag terribly in GIMP. I just got one, and I stumbled across a solution. It isn’t perfect but it works. Installing the most recent GIMP release from www.portableapps.com and installing gives you a release that isn’t too bad. However, the cursor still seems to freeze from time to time. When this happens, you just lift the stylus out of range for a second or two, then lower back into range. This almost always causes the cursor to respond.
I hope that this helps some people.
